About Dr. Shawna Garner
Dr. Shawna Garner is a 2001 graduate of Ross University. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences and a Master’s in Microbiology from Indiana State University.
After graduating veterinary school she worked in Indianapolis, IN where she did 2 years in general practice and 5 years as an ER clinician before returning to her home town (Marshall, IL) to open her own private practice. In 2017 Dr. Garner began her career in Telehealth and is considered an industry expert in the field.
Dr. Garner is a member of the AVMA, VVCA, IVPA (Independent Veterinary Practitioners Association), Human Animal Bond Association and The Association for Animal Welfare Advancement.
In her spare time Dr. Garner enjoys spending time with her family which includes her two sons, husband, 4 dogs, 3 cats, 2 turtles, 16 rabbits, 26 chickens and 5 turkeys.
