The PetsApp Future of Veterinary Student Award, in partnership with the Association of Veterinary Students (UK and Ireland)

PetsApp & the Association of Veterinary Students (UK and Ireland) have teamed up to offer five students a fantastic opportunity to showcase how their ideas best demonstrate the future of the veterinary profession.

The competition - the PetsApp Future of Veterinary Student Award - will ask the UK's upcoming veterinary talent to demonstrate ways the profession can innovate in an area that interests them.

That's right - whatever the future of veterinary looks like to you, we want to know. All you have to do is convince our panel that your project is a top priority for tomorrow's veterinarians.

This project can take the form of an essay, presentation or data report. We would like the word count to be at least 1,000 words, and no more than 4,000 words.

The award will provide five winners with:

  • a £200 award (this doesn't have to be spent on your project!)
  • the opportunity to be published on the PetsApp blog
  • a free PetsApp swag kit

"This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone studying veterinary medicine to be acknowledged and rewarded for their excellent work forwarding future of the veterinary profession," says Erica Cook (Grants and Sponsorships Officer, AVS).

"At PetsApp, we are always talking to our community about what veterinary should look like. How our teams should be treated, how our patients are treated, how we can empower our customers to become better pet owners," says Thom Jenkins (CEO & Vet, PetsApp). "This award scheme - in partnership with the AVS - seemed like a natural fit. We can't wait to see what the next generation of vets have to say about the profession!"

Submissions close November 8th at 7pm. Winners will be contacted the following week, and asked to confirm project delivery timelines with the PetsApp team.
