Mercer and Hughes Veterinary Hospital is a veterinary practice dedicated to providing both you and your pet with the highest level of animal and client care.We have our hospital in Saffron Walden and two branches one in Great Dunmow and Stansted Mountfitchet. We treat horses and farm animals as well as domestic pets. We provide a 24 hours emergency service and we have a veterinary nurse on site 24 hours a day at Saffron Walden to care for our inpatients.Opening hours:Saffron Walden Hospital:Mon: 9am-8pmTues-Fri 9am-6:30pmSat: 9:30-11amGreat Dunmow:Mon-Fri:9am-6:30pm with late nights until 8pm every Thursday.Sat: 9am-11am.Stansted:Mon-Fri: 8:30am- 7pmSat: 8:30am - 10am.We operate an appointment system for consultations to minimise your waiting time and ensure both you and your pets have adequate time with the vet.We can provide a home visiting service by prior arrangement.Our well equipped surgeries contain the latest diagnostic equipment including digital x- ray facilities, ultrasound, ECG and endoscopy. We have our own in house laboratory to minimize time spent waiting for test results. We have a large team of dedicated veterinary nurses who run daily nurse clinics where they can give general advice and carry out procedures such as microchipping, nail clipping and weight checks. We host puppy parties to give advice to new owners and help with puppy socialisation.We have close links with the veterinary colleges and referral services in the area, to allow more specialist treatment for your pet. We also provide specialist treatment with complementary medicine. We are a RCVS Tier 2 Small Animal Accredited Practice and a training and assessment practice (TP) for veterinary nurses.Visit our website for more detailed information.
